Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now reunites Tony Award Winner Marissa Jaret Winokur (Tracy), Tony Nominee Kerry Butler (Penny), and Lexington's own Tony Nominee, Laura Bell Bundy (Amber). “I really care about this show because it’s my hometown and the Opera House was the very first theater I ever performed in”, says Bundy, regarding her return to the Lexington Opera House stage. Brian Sipe, general manager of the Lexington Opera House, adds, “It’s an honor to have Laura Bell Bundy return to Lexington with Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now. She is the city’s very own superstar, and we can’t wait to see her light up the Opera House stage once again!”.

About Laura Bell Bundy

Laura Bell Bundy is a Tony-nominated Broadway actress & Billboard Top 5 recording artist. She is also the founder of the Women Of Tomorrow Foundation. Laura Bell Bundy made her debut at age 9 in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. About Marissa Jaret Winokur

Marissa Jaret Winokur is perhaps best known for creating the role of Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway musical Hairspray, for which she won a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. Marissa began her career on Broadway in Tommy Tune’s Grease!. She has hosted many talk shows, including The Talk, The View, & more!

 

Marissa has appeared on numerous TV shows, still streaming today, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Girls, Crashing, Playing House, A Million Little Things, Perfect Harmony, Stacked, Retired at 35, and many more. She has voiced characters on hundreds of animated shows, including American Dad, King of the Hill, The Cleveland Show, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Shrek the Halls.

 

About Kerry Butler

An acclaimed veteran of a dozen Broadway shows, Kerry Butler is one of theater’s best-known performers. She has originated roles in Broadway productions of Beetlejuice, Mean Girls (Outer Critics Circle nomination), Xanadu (Tony and Drama League nominations), Little Shop of Horrors (Outer Critics Nomination), The Best Man, Disaster!, Catch Me If You Can (Drama Desk Nomination), and Hairspray (Clarence Derwent Award for most promising female performance, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Nominations). Kerry also starred in Rock of Ages, The Best Man, and Les Misérables on Broadway. Notable off-Broadway appearances include the cult hit Bat Boy and Clinton: The Musical, in which she portrayed Hillary Rodham Clinton.

 

On television, Kerry has appeared in 30 Rock, The Mindy Project, Rescue Me, Law & Order, The Mysteries of Laura, White Collar, Blue Bloods, Gilmore Girls, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez, and Law & Order SVU, among others.
