LEXINGTON, KY (October 4, 2024) In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Rupp Arena, proudly managed by Oak View Group, will host the American Red Cross as they collect donations at the Leanne Morgan show on October 5, 2024. This initiative aims to provide immediate relief to communities that are grappling with the aftermath of this severe storm. With homes destroyed, families displaced, and essential services disrupted, the need for support is urgent.

The Red Cross has deployed over 500 trained disaster workers to the affected areas, where they are actively delivering critical support, including meals, essential supplies, and damage assessments. As the situation continues to evolve, additional responders are on their way to assist those in need.

Doors open at 6 PM, and we encourage attendees to arrive early to help fill the Red Cross buckets at the entrance. This is a great opportunity for attendees to contribute directly to recovery efforts and make a real difference in the lives of those facing significant challenges. Together, we can restore hope and provide essential support to those in crisis.

“Rupp Arena has always been a gathering place for our community, and we are proud to host the Red Cross for this important donation drive,” said Brian Sipe, General Manager. “We are incredibly thankful to Leanne Morgan for using her Lexington show as an opportunity to support our fellow citizens facing the devastating aftermath of last week’s hurricane.”

For those who are not attending the event, donations can be made by texting HELENE to 90999.
