LEXINGTON, KY (October 23, 2024) –– The Wood Brothers, celebrated for their unique blend of American roots music, are set to perform at Lexington Opera House on Saturday, February 15, 2025. With nearly two decades of touring and songwriting experience, they have established themselves as freethinking songwriters, road warriors, and community builders, creating a diverse music catalog and cultivating a loyal audience that has grown alongside them.

The Wood Brothers' evolution continues with Heart is the Hero, their eighth studio album. This latest effort, recorded analog to 16-track tape, captures the chemistry of their acclaimed live shows by embracing real-time performances directly from the studio floor, with nary a computer in sight. An electrifying, acoustic-driven album, Heart is the Hero is filled with songs that target not only the heart but also the head and hips.

"We love records that come from the era of less tracks and more care," explains co-founder Oliver Wood. "When you use a computer during the tracking process, you have an infinite number of tracks at your disposal, which implies that nothing is permanent, and everything can be fixed. Tape gives you limitations that force you to be creative and intentional. You don't look at the music on a screen; you listen to it, and you learn to focus on the feeling of the performance."

Fans can look forward to an evening packed with their favorite hits alongside new songs from Heart is the Hero. The Wood Brothers consistently defy categorization, merging genres and pushing musical boundaries, ensuring that each concert is a memorable experience.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 10 A.M. on Friday, October 25 at ticketmaster.com, lexingtonoperahouse.com, or in person at the Central Bank Center Box Office from 12-4 P.M. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
