LEXINGTON, KY (July 10, 2015) -- Lexington Center, central Kentucky’s premier multi-use entertainment facility, has opened its doors to a global audience with Google's Business View®. The 360° interactive tour allows users to virtually travel through all three of the Lexington Center venues including the highest seat in Rupp Arena down to the Kentucky Wildcats center court, across the historic Lexington Opera House stage, and throughout the Lexington Convention Center exhibit and meeting spaces.
Through Google's Business View, the Lexington Center has extended its reach to a global audience beyond the over 1.2 million guests that passed through the doors in 2014. People around the world are now able to experience the same breath-taking views walking through one of the most storied venues in college basketball history, from their very own laptops, tablets and other digital devices.
According to Lexington Center President and CEO Bill Owen, "Words or photos just cannot convey the true magnitude and immensity of being at a venue like a high quality virtual tour. Adding our fully immersive virtual tours from Rupp Arena, Lexington Convention Center and the Lexington Opera House is a great way to add interesting, innovative visual content to our websites that can aid patrons, meeting planners and promoters alike."
The tours can be accessed through a portal on each of the Lexington Center websites, additionally all tours are fully integrated with Google, so that anyone can click the “See Inside” button to access from any device using Google Maps, Google Search and Google +.
The tour video footage was shot by Google Trusted Photographer and Kentucky native, Paul Bradley.
