Accessible Parking

 

Accessible parking spaces are available in the High Street parking lot directly across the street from ​Rupp Arena. Vehicles which park in the designated accessible parking ​spaces must display either the temporary hang tag or a permanent state license plate with the ​accessible parking notations. All parking in these spaces is on a first come, first served basis.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available for purchase through the Central Bank Center Ticket Office (859-233-3535) or through Ticketmaster (800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com). We highly recommend patrons contact our ticket office directly, as our staff is more intimately knowledgeable about our facilities and we feel they would provide the best service for our patrons with accessible seating needs.

Admission

All patrons entering Rupp Arena must have a valid ticket to gain admission. An exception is made for some shows for children one to two years of age. Please check with our Ticket Office prior to attending the event.

Age Restriction

For the overall safety and welfare of a minor, it is at the discretion of Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center to require that children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian to gain entry into select ticketed or non-ticketed events. For events when this policy is enforced, advance notice will be provided. No refunds will be issued.

Alcoholic Beverage Policy

Guests are not permitted to bring in any outside alcoholic beverages, nor are they permitted to leave the building with alcohol purchased inside Rupp Arena. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased inside the arena at most events. All alcohol purchases must be accompanied by a valid state issued driver’s license or ID, Passport or Military ID. You must be 21 years of age to purchase any alcohol. Service of alcoholic beverages is limited to two (2) drinks per person, per purchase. Management has the right to refuse service at any time. Alcohol sales can be terminated at any time at the discretion of Rupp Arena management. Guests that arrive to the venue intoxicated may be denied entry.

Animals

Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited with the exception of service animals. Service animals, as they adhere to the ADA Guidelines, are welcome inside the building but must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. If you intend to bring a service animal to the arena, please notify your ticket representative at the time of purchase so that an aisle seat may be reserved for you.

Baby Changing Stations

The baby changing stations are in the family restrooms located on each main concourse, along with other women's restrooms throughout the concourse.

Bags

Patrons may only have one clear bag (no larger than 12"x12"x6") or one small clutch purse, with or without handle or strap (no larger than 9”x 5”x2") for their personal items.  All bags and items will be searched. To avoid additional touch points, patrons are strongly encouraged to leave unnecessary items at home

Diaper Bags may exceed this size requirement, please see Security Services desk for a visual inspection. 

Binoculars

Guests are welcome to bring their own binoculars to events at Rupp Arena as long as they can adhere to the bag policy listed above. Binocular rentals are not available.

Broken Seat

If your seat is not functioning properly or broken, please notify a member of our Guest Experience staff for assistance or contact us directly at 859-233-4567 Ext.100 with the exact location of the damaged seat.

Camera Policy

No commercial photography of any kind is permitted. Cameras with detachable lenses are prohibited. Flash photography, video cameras or any other audio/visual equipment is prohibited unless authorized by team, promoter or artist management. Guests should check the events listing on the website to find out the policy prior to the event.

Cashless

Rupp Arena will no longer be accepting cash as a form of payment for parking and concessions. Acceptable forms of payment include all major credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa) and mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay). Cash will continue to be accepted at the various Central Bank Center Box Offices and at artist merchandise stands.

Prepaid parking at the High Street Parking Lot will now be available through Ticketmaster.com. Patrons who’ve already purchased tickets will have the opportunity to add on parking to their experience. There are limited spaces available.

Child Admission Policy

The admission policy varies by event. For most events, a child under the age of 2 does not require a ticket with the exception of UK events in which every patron, no matter their age, must have a ticket. Please check with the Ticket Office at 859-233-3535 for the age requirement for tickets for the event you are interested in attending.

Drop-Off / Pick-Up Areas

Rupp Arena offers a drop-off and pick-up area on the Main Street curb cut in front of Central Bank Center. Ride shares, limousines, buses and cars will be able to drop-off and pick-up in this area, but no vehicles will be permitted to park there.

Elevators

Rupp Arena has two elevators available from the concourse level for patrons. Guest Experience staff are on or near the elevators during events and will assist accordingly.

Emergencies and Evacuations

Rupp Arena is committed to providing the highest standard of safety for our visitors and employees. In case of an emergency, please follow the instructions of the staff and proceed to the nearest exit and out to street level in a calm and safe manner. View the evacuation map. Guests should use the stairwells as a means of evacuation. Elevators and escalators may not be working at the time of an evacuation.

 

Entry Inspection

Rupp Arena utilizes walk through metal detectors at most events. All bags will be inspected.

Upon arrival, fans will be requested to remove items like cell phones, keys, bags/purses and large metal objects that may set off the alarm, thus requiring further inspection. 

Entry Times

The time that doors open prior to an event will vary by event. Check the web event listing or call the Central Bank Center Ticket Office if you need assistance. 

Family Restrooms

 

Family restrooms are located on the East Concourse to the left of the concession stand and on the West Concourse to the right of the concession stand.

First-Aid

Certified medical professionals are available at our First-Aid station during most events to assist guests with medical needs. Guests in need of emergency first-aid should contact the nearest Rupp Arena employee for assistance. The primary First-Aid station is located on the main concourse near section 34.

Food & Beverage

Please visit our Food & Beverage page for information Guests may not bring in outside food and/or beverage. Guests with specific/dietary needs due to medical conditions or religious requirements should contact Guest Experience via our Contact Us page prior to arrival.

Group & Premium Sales

Guest Conduct

In order to provide all guests a positive and enjoyable experience when attending events at Rupp Arena, we ask all patrons to please be respectful and considerate of their fellow event attendees.

Disorderly Conduct: Guests who fail to follow the policies set forth by the management of Rupp Arena / ​Lexington Center and enforced by its staff or those who violate any local, state and/or federal law will be subject to ejection from the facility.

Ejection from Rupp Arena: ​Disruptive or problematic guests should be reported to event staff immediately. Guests asked to vacate the arena may be escorted from the premises by event staff, security, facility management or local law enforcement.

Firearms/Weapons: This Facility is within a “School Zone” (18 U.S.C.922) Firearm Possession is Prohibited except for those Authorized to carry weapons by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Intoxicated Guests: Intoxicated guests are not admitted into Rupp Arena at any time. Intoxicated guests are subject to removal from arena property.

Patron Appearance: ​Patrons entering Rupp Arena must be properly clothed, which includes shirt and shoes. ​Clothing items must be worn at all times inside the arena.

Projectiles: ​The throwing of any object at any time inside the arena is strictly prohibited. Any person ​witnessed throwing a projectile of any size is subject to ejection from the facility.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower provides visibility and support to people living with non-visible disabilities by raising awareness, providing training, and sharing stories to help create a more inclusive, understanding society.

Guests can pick up a sticker, pin, or information lanyard in the arena lobby during arena events to indicate to staff that they may require additional assistance, time, patience, and understanding.

Interpretive Services

Sign Language Interpreters are available for the deaf and hard of hearing. To ensure proper service and scheduling, please contact our Ticket Office at 859-233-3535 a minimum of fourteen (14) days prior to the event to request this service.

Kulture City

Central Bank Center has teamed up with KultureCity to ensure that all future programs and events held at the venue are sensory-inclusive. This initiative aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all guests and fans with sensory sensitivities who visit Central Bank Center, Rupp Arena, or Lexington Opera House.

The ‘wellness room’  is located in Rupp Arena outside Section 30. The wellness room will be open for all arena events. The room will contain comfortable seating, an array of sensory items, weighted lap pads, and soft lighting. 

 

 

Lost & Found

If you lose or find an item during an event, please proceed to Security Services for assistance or contact 859-233-4567 Ext. 100. Rupp Arena is not responsible for lost items. Found items are retained for 30 days.

Event merchandise is generally available for most events and located throughout the arena.

Outside Vending

Per City Ordinance 198-13, the selling or sampling of food and beverages, selling or distribution of merchandise, tickets or other items on Lexington Center property without written authorization is strictly prohibited beginning three hours prior to an arena event and continuing until one hour after the event is completed.

Parking

Parking is available across the street from the arena accessible from either High Street or Maxwell Street. All parking is on a first come, first serve basis. 

Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment for paid parking. Acceptable forms of payment include all major credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa) and mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay).

Prepaid Parking will be available for some events. Patrons who have already purchased tickets will have the opportunity to add on parking to their experience. There are limited spaces available.

Rupp Arena management reserves the right to prohibit any item from entering the premises. All patrons and their belongings are subject to search prior to entry and once inside the building.

*Rupp Arena’s definition of weapons includes but is not limited to the following: knives or blades of any length, metal nail files, chains longer than 6 inches not made of precious metals (i.e. platinum, gold or sterling silver), firearms (authentic or replicated, including toys), clubs or extendable batons, any type of chemical irritant spray, stun guns or Tasers, spiked or studded jewelry, brass knuckle or any other item that could likely be used as a weapon or may cause injury if thrown or used improperly. This Facility is within a "School Zone" (18 U.S.C. 922). Firearm Possession is Prohibited  Except for Those Authorized to Carry Weapons by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Re-Entry

Rupp Arena has a No Re-entry policy during events. Guests wishing to return any items to their vehicle must do so before having their ticket scanned.

Signs

Signs which are hand-held and no greater than 24" x 24" in size, are allowed on an event by event basis. Signs may not be hung or fastened anywhere in the arena. Signs may not be mounted or attached to a frame or a handle. Signs may not be commercial or obscene in nature or cause any disturbance with other fans. Rupp Arena reserves the right to remove any banner or sign without exception.

Smoking Policy

In accordance with Section 14.97 of the Municipal Code of the LFUCG, the Lexington Center Corporation/Rupp Arena is a smoke-free facility.  Additionally, LCC prohibits the use of E-cigarettes, including vaping, inside the arena as stipulated by Lexington City Ordinance No. 171-2003.

Strollers

Strollers are permitted inside the arena. A guest experience staff member will instruct patrons on storage.

Ticket Office

The Central Bank Center Ticket Office handles ticket sales for most events held at Rupp Arena, the Lexington Opera House and some public ticketed events held at the Central Bank Convention Center. (Please note University of Kentucky basketball is handled by UK Athletics located on their campus at the Joe Craft Center. Their office hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 4pm and their phone number is 1-800-928-2287.

 

The Central Bank Center Ticket Office phone lines are open Tuesday-Friday 10am to 4pm and our window is open on Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 12pm to 4pm. During regular window hours, they are located just inside the High Street entrance between the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Rupp Arena.

 

During Rupp Arena events, the ticket office uses the outside ticket windows located on High Street beginning 2 hours prior to show time (this time can vary depending on the day and the event).

 

During Lexington Opera House events, our ticket office will open inside the Short Street entrance of the Opera House beginning 1 hour prior to show time.

 

The Central Bank Center Ticket Office accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. (Valid photo ID is required with all credit card payments.)

 

The ticket office is able to assist patrons with accessible seating questions and needs at 859-787-0915. Pease note that for UK events, you will need to call their ticket office for accessible seating.

Ticket Purchases

Tickets to events at Rupp Arena can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.com, the ticket office window or by calling our sales number at 859-233-3535.

With the rise in the number of “secondary ticket agencies / scalpers”, we have experienced an increase in the number of invalid tickets being presented at our entrance gates. The ONLY authorized ticket sales agents for Rupp Arena are Ticketmaster.com and the Central Bank Center Ticket Office.

 

The venue is not able to honor, replace or refund invalid tickets. Customers with invalid tickets are welcome to purchase valid tickets at the ticket office – seating location and price based upon availability.

Ticket Scalping

The resale of admission tickets to Rupp Arena events is strictly prohibited within a 2 block radius of the arena (City Ordinance 198-83, 10-20-83).

Tours

There are no public tours of Rupp Arena.

Umbrellas

Small, collapsible umbrellas are permitted inside Rupp Arena for most events.

Wellness Room

The Wellness Room is a space designed for nursing mothers or those with sensory needs who require a quiet space. Guests can ask a Guest Experience Representative for access. It is located at section 30 on the concourse.

Wheelchairs

Rupp Arena does not supply or rent wheelchairs for use while attending an event. If you or someone you are traveling with has mobility challenges, a wheelchair or a mobility aid should be acquired before arrival.
